TIMING FOR ATTENDING ON SUNDAYS
Currently we hold two services on Sundays. This format will run to May 2017. We offer our RE programs from Nursery through High School during the second service. Parents are asked to bring their children to the RE Wing by 11:10 AM to check in with the teachers or DRE and get them settled. Our DRE and RE Teachers bring the children into the Sanctuary and then the children are sung out to their classes by the congregation following the Story for All Ages. Youth groups often meet in their respective rooms when services begin. Parents should go to their child's classroom when services end to pick up them up.
While we offer childcare during the first service for visitors and for members with children who want to attend the first service, no formal RE classes are offered. Sorry, we do not presently offer infant care during the first service. Infants are welcome in the sanctuary during first service, but parents are asked to be mindful of the needs of the congregation. Parents may be with their babies in the nursery if needed.
Services are at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., with social time after each service. Services run from about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 min long.
When there is one service:
From Memorial Day until Labor Day, we intend to offer one service. The service begins on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.. The nursery is staffed by 10 a.m. RE children should be dropped off in the RE Wing by 10:25 am to greet their teachers and get settled. The DRE and RE teachers bring children to the Sanctuary when services start, and after the Story for All Ages, children are sung out to Religious Exploration. After services, kids should be reclaimed by their parents by noon.
Intergenerational Worship Services
Sometimes we offer a worship service that is Intergenerational. This means it is geared to participants of all ages, and kids and youth stay in the Sanctuary rather than leaving after the beginning of the service.
