The Sunday ahead marks the third of five Sundays in December and our Winter Pageant will take place during the multigenerational service.  Those with little ones please note that the nursery will be unlocked and available for parent use but children should not be in this room unattended.  Our Committee on Family Ministry will meet after the pageant from 12:10-1:10.
Things to bring this Sunday:  Costumes/Props – Look for an email from me for your child’s part in the Pageant.  Little ones will be able to stay with their families and may need assistance lighting a candle when it’s their time – but older children may need a simple costume as noted in the script – props will be provided unless otherwise noted.  
Mittens and Warm Socks – This is the last Sunday to collect mittens and warm items for our mitten tree – please be sure to bring any items if you have not already done so.
RELIGIOUS EXPLORATION LIBRARY – Karen Brown has put together another beautiful selection of books from our collection – many stories about winter holidays, practices and beliefs can be found in the RE library.  Come back and see what books you may want to check out for the youth in your life, or those young at heart.

? Would your child like to light the chalice?Every Sunday we try to find a child or youth volunteer to light the chalice. It’s a fun way for kids to participate in the service. DRE Shannon can show kids how  before the service if it’s their first time or they need a reminder. See Shannon on Sunday morning if interested.    The Chalice Lighting sign up sheet will be at the RE table with our coloring and quiet activity supplies.  Please be sure to sign your child up if they are interested!
