RE Ugentlige nyheder 9/10/2024

Kære UUCMP-familier,
Finally a break in the heat wave!  Hopefully you are ready to welcome back the fog and finally enjoy some sweater weather.  I am heading to Massachusetts this weekend and will be out of town on Sunday.  Warren Finch will be standing in for me this Sunday.  I look forward to spending time with my east coast family – leaf peeping, cooler weather, maple everything and carrying on a few fall traditions with my cousins.  
There is a Chalice Lighting sign up sheet that will be at the RE table with our coloring and quiet activity supplies.  Please be sure to sign your child up if they are interested.  Archer is scheduled to light the chalice this coming Sunday.

Happening in RE This Sunday!
Teens and Tweens: This Sunday our teens will pause Crossing Paths for Fall Break  – this is a nice opportunity for teens to connect informally playing games and working on fall crafts.
Elementary Explorations: As the seasons change, we will focus on Deep Listening this month. This Sunday, elementary-grade students will have the opportunity to explore their creativity through a hands-on activity as they celebrate the autumn season. The children will dive into the spirit of fall by creating their own bat crafts!
The Nursery will be open with a space for our youngest little ones to play safely while being supervised by Sunny and Leah.  This is also a place for those with babes-in-arms to rest, change diapers or have another set of hands help out.  
Our monthly Udvalget for Familieministeriet met virtually on October 8, 2024 from 7:00pm – 8:15pm.  Please join to learn more about upcoming opportunities and to share your ideas for our RE programming.  ???????

Upcoming Summer Activities & Events* October 27 –  Our Membership Committee is hosting a New Members Orientation and luncheon for new members and visitors.  Families – if you would like to attend and childcare is needed, please let Rose Lovell know by October 23rd.* October 29 – Pizza & Pumpkin Carving Party!
Parents – Did you know RE Staff are at the building starting at 10:15am?  Plan to arrive before service starts and your children can settle in and play before the service while their adults enjoy coffee and conversation.  After the service, children who are not picked up by 1:55 will walk with staff to be reconnected with their families.  If your family will be out of town, email Shannon dre@uucmp.org at give os besked, så vi kan planlægge deltagelse.
? Would your child like to light the chalice?Every Sunday we try to find a child or youth volunteer to light the chalice. It’s a fun way for kids to participate in the service. DRE Shannon can show kids how to do it before the service if it’s their first time or they need a reminder. See Shannon on Sunday morning if interested. Sign Up at the RE Table!
