RE Ugentlige nyheder 3/5/25

March 4, 2025
Hello UUCMP Families,
Last Sunday we introduced our them this month: TRUST. I trust that there are several signs of spring emerging. Perhaps, like me, your eyes have feasted upon such signs such as daffodils emerging or weeds springing up around your yard – or maybe it’s itching and watering that have been your indicators. I hope you and your families get the opportunity to go play outside and enjoy the return of the sun and warmer weather; blossoms and weeds.
The Nursery (6 months to age 5) teachers will have a simple craft and snack along with free choice play activities in the nursery – it’s Playdough Sunday so the kids will get to play with a fresh batch of homemade dough, rolling, cutting shapes and more.
Elementary (ages 5-11) teachers will have an activity and discussion about the story for all ages and the role of trust in our lives. They will get a chance to play outside before we come in for a morning snack. Elementary children will also get to make their own cloud dough.
Our Teens and Tweens (12+) will continue Crossing Paths – with Islam. Last Sunday they learned about the 5 Pillars of Islam and will further discuss the significance of Ramadan in the lives of Muslims.
Warmly,Shannon

RELIGIOUS EXPLORATION LIBRARY – Karen Brown has put together another beautiful selection of books from our collection – many stories about Martin Luther King, practices and beliefs can be found in the RE library.  Come back and see what books you may want to check out for the youth in your life, or those young at heart.
PROGRAM REGISTRATION – Please be sure to Register for RE Programming 2024-25.  This will help us best prepare for your child, keep you in the loop for upcoming events and activities and build our community.  Printed copies of the registration are available if you are having difficulty with the google form.

See Shannon on Sunday morning if interested.    The Chalice Lighting sign up sheet will be at the RE table with our coloring and quiet activity supplies.  Please be sure to sign your child up if they are interested!
