Please email or call your Board of Supervisor by August 9 and urge them to support the draft Monterey County Community Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (MC CCAAP). Overall, it is a good plan with built in opportunities to improve it. Implementing it this year will reduce climate disruption affecting all in our county, especially the poorest and most marginalized, due to more extreme weather events such as floods, heat, droughts, fires, sea level rise and more.
