Dear Friends,
I am writing to let you know that our family is entering a period of transition that will affect my ability to continue serving as Director of Religious Exploration. With my husband’s position ending at the end of May, we are both seeking full-time employment at this time, including opportunities that may require relocation. As a result, I will need to step down from my role.
This was not an easy decision. I have truly loved being part of this community and working with the children, families, and volunteers in our Religious Exploration program. It has been a meaningful and rewarding experience, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity. My last day as Director of Religious Exploration likely will be at the end of May.
Thank you for the trust and support you have shown me during my time in this position. I will always value the relationships and experiences I have had here.

A message from your Co-Ministers

Dear Members and Friends of UUCMP,
From an involved RE parent, to Acting DRE following Sharyn Routh’s move to the East Coast in the summer of 2024, and then becoming our half-time DRE in May of 2025, Shannon has been a bright and joyful guiding light for UUCMP’s Religious Exploration program. Her energy and enthusiasm, her sensitivity and creativity have all greatly benefited our RE programs and participants. We know you join us in appreciating Shannon for all the great work she has done.
We hope to recognize and celebrate Shannon’s contributions during our upcoming RE Sunday Service, on May 17. (We will also be searching for a half-time DRE, please spread the word.) We wish the entire Morrison family the very best for their new life transitions and adventures.
