From the Muse to the Pews – a periodic newsletter from WorshipWeb

“The Muppet who sings prays twice.”
—St. Augustine (….probably, if he’d known about Muppets)

ANYWAY, we have exciting Virtual Hymnal news!
 from Camille:
I’m the Consulting Manager for the UUA’s Virtual Hymnal. On behalf of your Virtual Hymnal Task Force, we invite you to join us as we present a first encounter with our prototype hymnal!

We’d like to reveal our working model, show off its bells & whistles, explain its testing phase, and answer your questions (we know you’ll have many).

At each of these gatherings, we’ll also invite you to help select which of our existing hymns might populate the prototype hymnal.

Join me and Rev. Erika in a Zoom webinar for any or all of our 3 opportunities:
Thursday, May 30th at 4 pm Eastern / 3 pm Central / 2 pm Mtn / 1 pm PacificWednesday, June 5th at 7 pm Eastern / 6 pm Central / 5 pm Mtn / 4 pm PacificMonday, June 10th at noon Eastern / 11 am Central / 10 am Mtn / 9 am Pacific
from Rev. Erika:.I’m the UUA Minister of Worship Arts, and it’s been a joy to work with Camille—and our entire Virtual Hymnal Task Force—for the past 15 months.

We expect a lot of you to attend this Virtual Hymnal gathering, so we ask you to please use this link to register in advance. (Registration will close at 8 am Eastern on the day of your selected gathering.)
If you’re still catching up on the Virtual Hymnal project—what our mission is, who comprises the Task Force, and the questions that arose in our public January info sessions—you can find all of that and more at

(That page is also where you’ll find, in July, the video compilation of the three Zoom gatherings .)

All of us on the Virtual Hymnal Task Force are grateful for your curiosity, your enthusiasm, and your input about how to make this project as successful as possible.

Keep singing,
Rev. Erika Hewitt (she/her/hers)
Minister of Worship Arts, Unitarian Universalist Association
