RE Weekly News 8/27/25

Care famiglie dell’UUCMP,
It was so wonderful to see so many families at the camp out, whether you camped the whole weekend, one night or just made it up for a day visit. I hope that your spirit felt renewal and connection in the beautiful forest next to the banks of the Big Sur river.  Most of our kids were at the forest Sunday morning – at the building a service that mirrored the message in the forest took place – and the R.E. Team met to plan and work on preparations for the switch to two services, and our upcoming lesson plans.
One more note, our Committee on Family Ministry (COFM) meeting was postponed until tonight, Wednesday August 27th, 7:30-8:30pm.  A zoom link, minutes and an agenda was sent out to our families, teachers and volunteers yesterday.  Please email me if you too would also like to join the conversation.  We hope you can join us for input about planning for the fall and winter programming.
This Sunday is a holiday weekend and our last single service before the transition.  Although I will be out of town, your RE teachers will be here and ready to help facilitate our activities this Sunday at the 10:30 service.  With warmth and  gratitude,Shannon

RELIGIOUS EXPLORATION LIBRARY – Karen Brown has put together another beautiful selection of books from our collection – many stories about Earth Day, Unitarianism, spiritual practices and beliefs can be found in the RE library. Come back and see what books you may want to check out for the youth in your life, or those young at heart.

Il tuo bambino vorrebbe accendere il calice?Ogni domenica cerchiamo di trovare un bambino o un giovane volontario per accendere il calice. È un modo divertente per i bambini di partecipare al servizio. DRE Shannon può mostrare ai bambini come fare prima del servizio se è la prima volta o se hanno bisogno di un promemoria. Se interessati, incontrate Shannon la domenica mattina. Il foglio di iscrizione per l'accensione del calice sarà al tavolo RE con i nostri materiali per colorare e attività tranquille. Assicuratevi di iscrivere vostro figlio se è interessato!
