Minamahal na Mga Pamilya ng UUCMP,
Here we are, knee deep in a period of transition for most of our families, starting a new school year and looking ahead to the arrival of fall.  Warm weather and sunshine seems to have arrived as well!  This Sunday we will have outdoor activities planned for our youth to enjoy the outdoor space at UUCMP.  
Last Sunday we started with a nature walk in which even Aspen, one of our youngest youth, was able to participate with his mom Roxanne ?.   We also got to visit with old friends, Finn and Marissa, who joined our tweens and teens group.  And of course we were excited to welcome back Zach!During periods of transition it is nice to be able to keep some routines consistent – your children will be welcomed each morning by our loving team and we will keep our plan simple for the Sunday ahead to meet them however they arrive with us that morning.  
The following Sunday (August 17) will be the Water Communion and Blessing of the Backpacks.  If anyone is feeling craftsy and would like to lend a hand assembling the tokens please let me know! I would love some support putting them together this Friday evening during the Game Night.

RELIGIOUS EXPLORATION LIBRARY – Karen Brown has put together another beautiful selection of books from our collection – many stories about Earth Day, Unitarianism, spiritual practices and beliefs can be found in the RE library. Come back and see what books you may want to check out for the youth in your life, or those young at heart.

Gusto ba ng iyong anak na sindihan ang kalis? Tuwing Linggo ay sinisikap naming humanap ng isang bata o kabataang boluntaryong magsisindi ng kalis. Ito ay isang masayang paraan para sa mga bata na lumahok sa serbisyo. Maaaring ipakita ni DRE Shannon sa mga bata kung paano bago ang serbisyo kung ito ang kanilang unang pagkakataon o kailangan nila ng paalala. Tingnan si Shannon sa Linggo ng umaga kung interesado. Ang Chalice Lighting sign up sheet ay nasa RE table kasama ang aming mga supply ng pangkulay at tahimik na aktibidad. Mangyaring tiyaking i-sign up ang iyong anak kung interesado sila!
