What a great turn out to our Pizza and Pumpkin Carving Night!  Thank you to our co-minister Elaine and the families who joined in the fun!  It’s hard to believe we will be in November this Sunday.  Daylight savings ends so we will Fall Back an hour – maybe you will even get to sleep in??

Happening in RE This Sunday:
Our teens will continue Crossing Paths to compare the similarities and differences between Catholic and Protestant beliefs, and how early Christians adopted Pagan symbols and celebrations. They will have a chance to interview two members who were raised with Catholic and Protestant beliefs.   Our Elementary class will begin discussing the concept of Repair – our theme for November.  We will have a snack and activities for all the children to enjoy.
Our Chalice Lighter this Sunday will be Anika!  The Chalice Lighting sign up sheet will be at the RE table with our coloring and quiet activity supplies.  Please be sure to sign your child up if they are interested.

The Nursery will be open with a space for our youngest little ones to play safely while being supervised by Sunny and Leah.  This is also a place for those with babes-in-arms to rest, change diapers or have another set of hands help out.  
Our monthly Committee on Family Ministry met virtually on October 8, 2024 from 7:00pm – 8:15pm.  Please join to learn more about upcoming opportunities and to share your ideas for our RE programming.  Our next meeting will take place in person after the service November 17th.

即将举行的活动和事件* November 1 – First Friday Game Night!  Our co-ministers Axel and Elaine will host – games are family friendly – all members of our community are invited to join in the fun!* November 17 – Committee on Family Ministry Lunch!  Bring your ideas and hopes for Religious Exploration (RE) as we share a lunch and plan for future RE programming and activities.  
Parents – Did you know RE Staff are at the building starting at 10:15am?  Plan to arrive before service starts and your children can settle in and play before the service while their adults enjoy coffee and conversation.  After the service, children who are not picked up by 1:55 will walk with staff to be reconnected with their families.  If your family will be out of town, email Shannon dre@uucmp.org 让我们知道，以便我们可以安排出席事宜。
? Would your child like to light the chalice?Every Sunday we try to find a child or youth volunteer to light the chalice. It’s a fun way for kids to participate in the service. DRE Shannon can show kids how to do it before the service if it’s their first time or they need a reminder. See Shannon on Sunday morning if interested. Sign Up at the RE Table!
