At UUCMP, music is an integral part of congregational life.  The Music Committee works in close coordination with the music staff to deepen the spiritual experience of the congregation through a wide variety of music of the highest quality presenting music in Sunday worship services and at other special times. Music is also presented by a variety of guest vocalists and instrumentalists throughout the year.

Our Adult Community Choir is open to everyone, members and nonmembers alike, to explore singing together; the choir meets weekly to rehearse. As an ensemble, we prepare choral music for two Sunday services per month and special music for holidays.  The choir also presents two music services each year as Sunday worship services.

The Children’s Choir is designed for children in grades Kindergarten through eighth grades, but children who are not in that age range are also invited to participate if they wish to do so. This choir meets weekly Monday afternoons at 3pm.

A sing along group meets on a monthly basis to share singing together. This group has been organized just for the joy of singing and does not perform in the services.

In addition, the Music Committee presents public concerts.  The purpose of these concerts is two-fold:  to serve as a venue and host for many local musicians and provide high quality concerts for the community.
