The UU Hiking Group will gather on Saturday, May 18th, for their monthly hike. This month, back by popular demand, we will be hiking up to Inspiration Point, at Palo Corona Park. The hike is moderate in difficulty (1.3 miles up, 850 foot elevation climb) and should take about 2 hours up and back, depending on how long we hang out at the top, and whether we continue on to Animas Pond, about another half mile. Inspiration Point offers sweeping views out over Carmel Bay, including Point Lobos, Carmel River Beach, and Carmel itself. We will meet at 9 am in the parking lot of the Palo Corona Park visitor center, located a short ways up Carmel Valley Road, on the right just past Carmel Middle School.
