Michael Martinez’s talent  blossomed at a young age. He started playing piano at age 11, and soon began composing captivating melodies. At 13, Michael became the protégé of acclaimed pianist Jonathon Lee, and in 2004, took over Lee’s position as The Grand Piano Man for the Big Sur International Marathon. He has played annually for thousands of runners on the nine-foot concert grand piano ever since. He tries to be vulnerable in his playing so people can feel who he is. His very authentic style is a blend between New Age and Classical, and has been described as heartfelt, cinematic and reflective.
