RE Weekly News 5/27/26

May 27, 2026Hello RE Families!  Last week, since it was a holiday weekend, we had only a small group, so we all joined together in one classroom. We focused on the UU value of pluralism to remember that as UUs we respect different faiths and different ways of living good lives. We then talked about the hajj, the time when Muslims make their pilgrimage to Mecca. We talked about Mecca as a very special place for Muslims where during hajj (which began on Monday) they do rituals to focus on being good people. Then each kid talked about a place that’s special for them, and they made lovely diagrams with … RE Weekly News 5/27/26を読み続ける

Nakba Remembrance

Friday, May 15, 2026, marks the 78th Anniversary of the Nakba, and UUJME is asking UU congregations across the United States to bear witness by recognizing Nakba Day during service on May 17th. “The Nakba, which means “catastrophe” in Arabic, refers to the mass displacement and dispossession of Palestinians during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.
