December 5, 2024 Hello UUCMP Families, The Sunday ahead marks the second of five Sundays in December! We will be assigning parts for our Winter Pageant, singing songs and will continue learning about various sources of winter light. The Teens will return to their Crossing Paths curriculum in the Ralph Waldo Emerson room. All children will get to learn stories about Saint Nicholas and Santa Lucia and see what treats may have been left for them. Things to bring this Sunday: Traditions – Children will have a chance to share their families traditions over the coming weeks. What traditions do you look forward to in your home? Mittens and Warm Socks – Our Mitten Tree can be found in the Foyer. We hope to collect 40 sets of mittens/gloves and socks for our iHelp Men and Women. Please let Shannon know if your child would like to read the announcement about our mitten tree Sunday morning. RELIGIOUS EXPLORATION LIBRARY – Karen Brown has put together another beautiful selection of books from our collection – many stories about Native Americans and indigenous people, practices and beliefs can be found in the RE library. Come back and see what books you may want to check out for the youth in your life, or those young at heart. PROGRAM REGISTRATION – Please be sure to Register for RE Programming 2024-25. This will help us best prepare for your child, keep you in the loop for upcoming events and activities and build our community. Warmly, Shannon |
???????THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS! We have been so lucky to have helping hands in RE – thank you to our November volunteers: Lauren Keenan, Max Cajar, Fred Hamilton, Monique Romero, Roberta Granados, Lindsay Fondren, Amy Blondell, and Karen Brown for all your contributions this month. Whether bringing food to share, helping to set or clean up, keeping our library tip top, or filling in for our teachers – your help is greatly appreciated! |
