Technology and “Generation Z” have grown up together. Young adults today have never known a world without Google, YouTube, smartphones, and social media. The forced isolation of the pandemic integrated their lives even more thoroughly with technology as they attended school from home and could only connect with friends via the internet. Are friendships forged online real? Is the digital world just a distraction from the real world? Is the digital world dangerous? Today, the three teens who bridged out of our R.E. program in May will speak about what they wish Boomers and Gen Xers understood about their experience of and dependence on digital communication technology.
