Work Parties at UUCMP a Big Success!

The last two work parties at UUCMP have been a resounding success!

In February we had 15 people come to plant, weed, clean carpets and windows, paint and much more.

Last Saturday we beat that number when 17 congregants came out to pull hundreds of Genista plants and dozens of scary thistles, pulled a truck load of weeds, and weed wacked the playground area. What was extra amazing is that we had 6 Genista jacks to use for pulling out the bigger plants!

Additionally, 3 members were up on the roof clearing pine needles, washing skylights and working to upgrade the bell housing that holds the bell we ring on Sunday mornings.

We also had folks organizing the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen, with more clarifying labels added so that there will be less confusion as to where to find, and then put away, items used for I-Help or church potlucks.

We have aspirations of brightening our large wooden sign sometime soon.
And we’ll need to pull many more weeds to make visible the thriving plants added to our campus in October.

Stay tuned for the next opportunity to join in the joyful collaborative efforts to keep UUCMP looking well cared for and functioning well for all of us.
